Stars Academy

Stars Academy is a virtual educational experience where students will gain valuable performing arts education from our experienced staff. Our virtual format provides for an individualized educational experience that helps you achieve your personal goals. By participating in the Stars Academy, you are preparing yourself for future excellence in a variety of performing roles – from honor band and college auditions to drum corps and concert ensemble performances.

 

As of right now, all Stars Academy private lessons are available through Summer 2021 going into next year’s audition season.

Stars Academy Tracks

Each private lesson track is taught by a member of our staff. The Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps staff included experienced educators and performers who have worked with award-winning ensembles over the years.

Each track will include four private lessons taught by each caption’s staff lasting between 30-60 minutes.

Q: What should I have to prepare for each lesson?
A: In preparation for our virtual private lessons, you should make sure you have access to a steady internet connection, Zoom, your instrument/equipment, and a quiet space free of distraction. Other expectations may be communicated by your instructor.

Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: While our educational programming caters best to ages 14-21, there are no age restrictions to participate in Stars Academy.

Q: Do private lessons have to occur over Zoom?
A: While our educational format this year is primarily aimed at virtual interaction, private lessons may occur in whatever format you and your private lessons instructor agree upon.
